What do we call our antibody therapeutics "True Human"?There are numerous antibody therapeutics marketed as Human or Fully Human. All of these antibodies were derived from genetically modified mice and/or were engineered using molecular genetics. XBiotech discovers its antibody therapeutics from human beings. Our antibody therapeutics are Truly derived from a human immune system—hence the name.
White blood cells in the human body secrete billions of different antibodies that circulate through the blood to react and protect us from toxins, infectious agents or even other unwanted substances produced by our own body. True Human™ antibodies are simply those that are derived from a natural antibody identified from the blood of a human donor.
