Philosophy
At XBiotech, the Hippocratic notion that medicine “should never do harm” is a cornerstone to how we approach drug development. This includes the belief that cutting-edge medicine should work in a targeted way to make patients feel better, not worse; and that costs associated with use of a drug should not cause great economic hardship. While this is perhaps not the easiest framework from which to build a drug company, we believe these very old principles should continue to shape the future of medicine.
